Principal flute with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra.

Principal oboe with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Principal clarinet with the Detroit Symphony.
John Zirbel
Principal horn with the Montreal Symphony in Canada
Inon Barnatan, pianist

Inon Barnatan, the Israeli-born, twenty-something pianist is gaining widespread recognition for his poetic and passionate music making. The London Evening Standard called his debut CD (2006) of Schubert piano works "musicianship of the highest calibre."

World-traveled horn players, The American Brass Quintet hasn't missed a season in Salida since the series began in 1977.

The Jupiter String Quartet
Monday, July 27
Joyce Yang, the 23-year-old South Korean pianist, returns for her third straight year in Salida. She will solo first and then join the nationally acclaimed Jupiter String Quartet for the second half of the program.

John O’Conor, pianist
Saturday, August 8
Irishman John O'Conor, known as the poet of the piano and lauded as a leading interpreter of Beethoven, makes a second appearance in Salida. He will play an all-Beethoven program including the Pathetique and Moonlight sonatas.

All concerts at John Held Auditorium, Salida High School, 10th and D Streets, except for July 18. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Doors and box office open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door or can be purchased here in advance by going to Tickets.
What is Salida Concerts, Inc?
Salida Concerts, Inc., acting in collaboration with the prestigious
Aspen Music Festival and School, is a 501(c)(3) organization
whose mission is to present a summer chamber music concert 
series. The Series, held in Salida and Buena Vista Colorado, features incredibly talented, internationally-known artists, as well as exciting new artists making their debut at the prestigous Aspen Music Festival. The Series offers an amazing opportunity to hear these world class artists in a quaint mountain community nestled in the heart of Colorado.
